Delhi witnessed hectic political activity when BJP accused AAP of ignoring Kashmiri Pandit Teachers. This was the fallout of Arvind Kejriwal’s speech and subsequent activities.
Arvind Kejriwal’s Speech
Arvind gave an explosive speech in the Delhi assembly and his hilarious dig at the BJP’s double standards. You can listen to the speech here. Within minutes this speech went viral. It did not go down well with the BJP top brass.
The matter did not end here. Arvind was interviewed by various channels where he questioned the BJP’s love for Kashmiri Pandits and went to the extent of telling how AAP came forward and helped Kashmiri Pandits, wherein BJP has only enchased their tragedy. Listen to this video.
BJP’s Counterattack
BJP launched a massive counterattack on Arvind and AAP stating that Arvind is fooling people and Arvind actually tried to stop the Kashmiri Migrant Teachers from regularization. As per BJP, the regularization happened on HC order and Delhi Government challenged it in Supreme Court. They also issued an unsigned press release, represented by one person, to prove their point. BJP spokesman went on record to allege that AAP has been economical with the truth.
Sambit Patra, BJP spokesman was holding this letter to make serious allegations against AAP for misleading people. Suddenly, the BJP IT Cell launched a massive avalanche of content to spread this across to its supporters.
AAP’s Counter
AAP reacted immediately to counter the statements of the BJP. It presented a letter to the media which was actually signed by the Government School Teachers Association (Migration Regd) where the association has called the letter presented by the BJP fake. The authenticity of the signatories of this letter was verified through media reports (see link).

Further Investigation
Further investigation reveals that it is was indeed LG, who worked closely with the Modi government and took his orders from Home Ministry tried to go against the Kashmiri Teachers. Manish Sisodia’s request was completely overruled. LG appointed Pinky Anand and others, an additional solicitor general and a BJP appointee to represent the Govt of NCT to prevent Kashmiri Pandits from taking any benefits. The appeal was dismissed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
Subsequently, AAP provided the benefits from the retrospective date to these teachers. Pages after pages of various documents surfaced which indicated how Union Government was a partner in this conspiracy against Kashmiri Pandits.
Conclusion
Looking at the above facts and going through the data and exchanges, it is clear that AAP’s stand that it did what was to be done stands vindicated. It also exposed BJP’s lies and hypocrisy that it has tried to help Kashmiri Migrant Pandits. Contrary to this, BJP Government at the center and through its representative in the state (LG), has tried to prevent any benefits for these Pandits.
The unsigned letter, which was issued by a single person instead of any association or group, whose whereabouts are not known, raises more questions on ethics and the basics of BJP and its ideology. BJP was in power with the ruling coalition in 1989, during the period when atrocities were carried out and did not do anything to prevent it. It also did nothing to rehabilitate the Kashmiri Pandits. The fact available in the public domain only indicates that the pain of Kashmiri Pandits has been used as a political tool by BJP.
